The Heron Scrapbook

Thanks to John Heron - who seems to have spent ages photographing Grandad Heron's scrapbook (which I didn't know existed!) - we now have tons of photos from this fascinating record of Heron History. Unfortunately, some of it has not reproduced well, so I will be going through the different pages and posting them on here. Here is the first one - the 'original' Heron family. Would appreciate if anyone could let me know who's who - tho' I know that the one on the left of the picture as you view it, ''is my Father, Tony.

Old Photos from Prue Heron (Tony's daughter)

Hi, Prue here. Some old photos I've just dug out. To the left is my Dad (Tony Heron) when he married my Mum - Helen - see big wedding photo below.


This one is Tony Heron with me, Prue to his right and my sister, Catherine a the front - taken in about 1957
















This photo is my brother Adrian taken in Zambia when he worked there about 1967.




















This is my Father (Tony) and Mother (Helen) group wedding photo. The wedding was at Church of Our Lady of Loreto & St Winfrid, Leyborne Park, Kew Gardens on Saturday 3rd September 1938 at 2.00 p.m. Would appreciate if anyone could identify any Herons and I'll do a 'who's who' underneath. I can spot Joan Heron just behind the bride's father, to the right of the bride. (I realise now I've published it, you would need superhuman eyes to recognise anyone - I can send you the large version by email!.)
